This March we were thrilled to finally perform a full concert devoted to the madrigals of Claudio Monteverdi, something that has been on our bucket list for many years—and according to several audience comments, something that many audience members have been waiting for too. One attendee told us that he had been listening to recordings of Monteverdi for 40 years, but had never thought he would have the chance to hear his madrigals live. What an honor to fulfill that dream!

We were lucky to have a great team of singers in Julia Cavallaro, Corey Hart, Adam Simon and Andrew Padgett, who joined us from Boston and the Pioneer Valley. For the first time, we added a Northampton performance to our weekend, at Edwards Church, and were pleased to make some new friends there! We also did a lunchtime mini-concert at the Church of Saints James and Andrew in Greenfield, just around the corner from our house.

Thanks to our favorite photographer, Zach Stephens, for capturing these images at the Brattleboro Music Center.
